1/2 Cup of minced or chopped fresh Ginger or Galangal root
2 Cups Water
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Heat the water in a medium size saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling add the minced or chopped ginger or galangal and salt and pepper to taste. Boil for 5 to 10 minutes or until the water has turned color and is flavored with the ginger and spices. Turn off heat and the broth is ready. Use this broth for any Asain recipe.
